2009年5月22日，瑞典發行商Paradox Interactive與Kerberos Productions宣佈，將推出倍受好評的太空戰略遊戲《星際之劍（Sword of the Stars）》系列的全新資料片《星際之劍：阿哥斯船廠（Sword of the Stars: Argos Naval Yard）》，新作定於6月17日發行。
號稱是4X概念體系作品的《星際之劍》系列，以eXplore（探索）、eXpand（拓張與發展）、eXploit（經營與開發）、eXterminate（征服）為遊戲核心內容。與其他戰略遊戲相比，《星際之劍》系列氣勢宏偉，極具深度，並且畫面效果出眾，對於星際戰艦大規模戰爭場面的刻畫極為突出。本次所推出的新作《SotS: Argos Naval Yard》，將帶來包含新技術、新款飛船樣式、新的武器以及全新劇本等更多要素，給予玩家非同一般的遊戲體驗。
