《大航海家4（Patrician IV）》遊戲發行商Kalypso Media宣佈了遊戲的最新擴展內容：一個王朝的崛起（Rise of a Dynasty），該DLC將在3月31日發售。
新DLC將新增八個貿易城市，玩家除了可使用海上貿易外，還可使用陸地大篷車，進行商品交易，最大的特點是支持四玩家通過局域網和internet進行聯機合作，玩家可隨時加入或離開多人遊戲。
