[i]Chkntfs[/i] works by modifying the [i]BootExcecute[/i] value in the Registry.

The default value is [i]BootExecute:REG_MULTI_SZ:autocheck autochk *[/i]
[i]Chkdsk /f /r[/i] is unaffected by [i]chkntfs[/i] and can be run to check volumes manually on the next system reboot.
